HENDERSON, Nev., Feb. 12, 2024 NBA G League Ignite (2-18) defeated the Indiana Mad Ants (11-8), 123-114, on Monday at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.

Gabe York led the way for Ignite with a final stat line of 45 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals on 13-of-22 shooting from the field, including 8-of-14 from the three-point line. York’s 45 points set an Ignite record for most points in a single game. Matas Buzelis followed with 23 points, seven rebounds and two steals, while Tyler Smith posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Kendall Brown led the Mad Ants with 24 points and four rebounds on 11-of-20 shots from the field. Jarace Walker followed behind with 21 points, eight assists and four rebounds, while Isaiah Wong added 15 points and seven rebounds.

Ignite got off to a scorching hot start after shooting 60.9 percent from the field and 70 percent from the three-point line in the opening quarter led by Gabe York, who poured in 11 of 45 points in the frame on 3-of-4 shooting from behind the arc, to help Ignite take an 11-point advantage (39-28) into the second quarter. Ignite’s hot shooting continued after extending its lead by 15-point lead early in the second quarter en route to taking a 64-58 lead at the halfway mark. Ignite finished the half shooting 64.9 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from behind the arc. Both teams continued to battle throughout the third quarter, but York’s 12-point quarter helped Ignite edge out a five-point lead heading into the final period. The Mad Ants opened the fourth quarter on a 6-0 run to take its first lead since the 10:36 mark in the opening quarter. The game remained neck-and-neck until the final minutes of the game. With 3:04 remaining in regulation and holding a one-point lead, Ignite used a 10-0 run to seal the victory.
