HENDERSON, Nev., Jan. 6, 2022 – NBA G League Ignite (4-2) defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors (1-3), 136-115, on Friday night to split the two-game series at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.

Ignite was paced by Cameron Young and Scoot Henderson with 24 and 21 points, respectively. Young shot 8-of-16 from the field, including 3-of-5 from behind the arc, while Henderson added a team-high nine assists and seven rebounds. John Jenkins contributed 20 points on 7-of-11 shots from the field, including 4-of-7 from the three-point line. Babacar Sane added 16 points and three rebounds.

The Warriors were led by Dusty Hannahs with 24 points as he drained six three-pointers. Lester Quinones poured in 21 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Zeke Moore produced 19 points.

After taking a four-point lead to close the opening quarter, Ignite used a 15-2 run to extend its lead by 13 points in the second period. As it appeared Ignite was going to run away with the game, the Warriors scored 12 consecutive points to close the half and cut its deficit to 58-57. Ignite kept its composure as it built a 13-point advantage in the third quarter behind 62.5 percent shooting from the field, including 55.6 percent from the three-point line in the frame. As a team, Ignite totaled 42 points in the quarter, which is its largest third-quarter point total this season. Cameron Young’s big fourth quarter helped Ignite take its largest lead, 24, as he poured in 14 of his 24 points in that span. Ignite recorded a season-high of 136 points as it coasted to the victory.
