HENDERSON, Nev., Jan. 5, 2022 – NBA G League Ignite (3-2) was defeated by the Santa Cruz Warriors (1-2), 125-100, on Thursday night at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.
Leonard Miller and Babacar Sane led the way for Ignite with 17 points apiece. Sane’s point total set a season-high on 6-of-13 shots from the field, including 3-of-7 from the three-point line. Marcus Graves finished with 12 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
The Warriors had two players record 25-point outings as Dusty Hannahs and Gus Santos combined for 50 points. Zeke Moore followed with 21 points, four assists and two rebounds on 8-of-12 shooting from the field, including 5-of-8 from behind the arc. Lester Quinones (16 points, 13 assists) registered a double-double with seven rebounds.
After a hot start, the Warriors racked up 67 first-half points on 66.7 percent shooting from the field, while shooting 50 percent from the three-point line in that span. Dusty Hannahs, of the Warriors, scored 21 of his 25 points in the first half to lead the Warriors to a 14-point advantage at the halfway mark. The Warriors continued its offensive firepower in the second half to take its largest lead of the game, 25, in the fourth quarter, as Ignite struggled to keep pace.
