HENDERSON, Nev., Feb. 13, 2024 NBA G League Ignite (2-19) fell short to the Indiana Mad Ants (12-8), 116-109, on Tuesday at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.

Ignite was led by Tyler Smith, who recorded a career-high 29 points with four rebounds on 11-of-17 shooting from the field, including 3-of-6 from the three-point line. Gabe York finished with 26 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Babacar Sane posted a career-high 23 points and a season-high 13 rebounds, along with two blocks and two steals. Dink Pate added 12 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Jarace Walker paced the Mad Ants after notching a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds on 11-of-22 shots from the field. Isaiah Wong followed closely behind with 27 points, six rebounds and four assists off the bench. Reid Travis provided 16 points and six rebounds, while Kyle Mangas tallied 15 points and seven rebounds.

In a tightly contested matchup where both teams struggled mightily from the three-point line in the first half, the Mad Ants managed to edge out a five-point advantage at the halfway mark (54-49). Isaiah Wong and Jarace Walker paced the Mad Ants with 16 and 14 points, respectively. Gabe York’s hot shooting continued after pouring 18 points in the first half on 8-of-11 shooting from the field to keep Ignite in striking distance. After trading scoring runs in the third quarter, the Mad Ants began to pull away en route to its largest lead of the game, 15, after shooting 54.5 percent from the field and 58.3 percent from behind the arc in the frame. Ignite continued to battle and cut its deficit to seven points heading into the fourth quarter. Ignite opened the final period on a 10-0 run to take a three-point lead early in the frame. The Mad Ants weathered the storm and took control late in the game to secure the victory.
