OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla., Nov.16, 2022 NBA G League Ignite (2-4) tops Oklahoma City Blue (3-2), 110-95, on Wednesday to spilt two-game series at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Ignite was led by Scoot Henderson, who filled up the stat sheet, with a game-high 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Aubrey Dawkins poured in 15 points and 5 rebounds while Eric Mika produced 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in his first start of the season. Three others had double-digit scoring outings with Abogidi (11), Jeter (10) and Graves (10).

Oklahoma City got off to a strong start to take a 12-point lead after the first quarter (33-21). The Blue shot 59 percent from the field and 55 percent from behind the arc in that span. The Blue was led by Jaden Shackelford who poured in 11 of his 24 points while going perfect from the field in the first period. Ignite was able to crawl back after going on a 5-0 run to cut its deficit to seven points halfway through the second quarter. Mika made a huge presence for Ignite by logging in 10 of his 14 points in the first half to go along with 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Ignite was able to keep the pressure on Oklahoma City throughout the third quarter to cut its deficit to five (80-75) at the end of the period.

At the start of the fourth quarter, the Blue opened with a 5-0 run to take a 10-point lead which was quickly erased as Ignite followed up with an 11-0 run to take its first lead since the first score of the game (2-0). Things began to get chippy between the two teams after being hit with a double technical with 7:33 remaining in regulation. Ignite would use that as motivation enroute to a 35-point fourth quarter, where Henderson erupted for 14 of his 27 points as Ignite would coast to victory. 

Oklahoma City’s Shackelford finished with a team-high 24 points on 85 percent (6-7) shooting from the three-point line while D.J Wilson recorded 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Ignite held the Blue to 15 points in the fourth quarter while also holding Oklahoma City to a 30 percent shooting percentage in that span.
