HENDERSON, Nev., Jan. 15, 2024 NBA G League Ignite (0-9) fell to the Stockton Kings (8-1), 107-88, on Monday at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.

Ron Holland led the way after nearly finishing with a triple-double of 21 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists on 8-of-15 shooting from the field, including 2-of-3 from the three-point line. Matas Buzelis notched his second double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, including 4-of-4 from behind the arc. Izan Almansa and John Jenkins poured in 15 points, while Almansa added eight rebounds.

Mason Jones paced the Kings with 21 points, four assists and two rebounds on 7-of-11 shooting from the field, including 3-of-6 from behind the arc. Jalen Slawson and Stanley Johnson each had 20 points, while Slawson tallied nine rebounds and three assists. Jaylen Nowell pitched in 19 points, four assists and two rebounds.

Ignite pulled out an early five-point advantage after the first period (33-28) behind a 54.2 shooting percentage from the field, including 70.0 percent from the three-point line. John Jenkins and Matas Buzelis combined for six three-pointers to finish the quarter with 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Kings used a 33-point second quarter to flip the game. With the score even at 48-48 at the 3:49 mark in the second frame, the Kings used a 12-2 run to take a 61-50 lead at the halfway mark. Despite starting the third quarter on a 6-0 run, Ignite was held to 14 points in the frame, marking its lowest-scoring quarter this season. The Kings used Ignite’s struggles to their advantage en route to taking a 25-point lead (89-64) heading into the final period. The Kings held its advantage in the fourth quarter and coasted to the victory.
