UNIONDALE, N.Y., March 5, 2024 NBA G League Ignite (2-26) fell to the Long Island Nets (12-11), 132-105, on Tuesday at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y.

Ignite was led by Gabe York with a final stat line of 19 points, four rebounds and two assists on 6-of-13 shots from the field, including 4-of-6 from the three-point line in 21 minutes of action. Tyler Smith followed with 16 points and three rebounds, while Matas Buzelis added 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, four blocks and two steals. Babacar Sane posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Patrick Gardner paced the Nets with a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds on 7-of-16 shooting from the field. Kaiser Gates provided 20 points and seven rebounds, while Jordan Hall tailed 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists off the bench.

The Nets built a 16-point advantage in the opening quarter after a hot shooting start from the field en route to taking a 37-23 lead. The Nets shot 63 percent from the field, led by Kyler Edwards, who poured in nine points in the frame on 4-of-5 shooting from the field. Ignite began to chip away in the second quarter after opening the period on a 15-5 run to cut its deficit to four points with 7:06 remaining in the half. The Nets responded with a 16-1 run to extend its lead by 19 points late in the frame. Gabe York helped Ignite remain in striking distance as he poured in 19 first-half points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field, including 4-of-6 from behind the arc. The Nets maintained its double-digit advantage in the second half and expanded its lead by 28 points to coast to the victory.
