HENDERSON, Nev., Jan. 16, 2023 NBA G League Ignite (5-5) fell to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (4-3), 141-119, on Monday afternoon at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.

Ignite was led by John Jenkins for the second consecutive game with 23 points on 9-of-13 shots from the field, including 4-of-5 from the three-point line. Sidy Cissoko notched a season-high 21 points with two steals and two assists. Babacar Sane recorded a monster double-double with 17 points and a season-high 18 rebounds in 24 minutes of action.

The Mad Ants had three players register 20-point nights while being led by Gabe York, who poured in 29 points and four assists. Jermaine Samuels Jr. added 27 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Justin Anderson finished with 24 points, nine rebounds and four assists. David Stockton recorded a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 19 assists.

The Mad Ants built an 18-point lead late in the second quarter behind Gabe York, who scored 12 of his 29 points in the frame on 5-of-6 shooting from the field, including 2-of-3 from behind the arc en route to a 17-point first-half performance. Jermaine Samuels Jr. and David Stockton added 17 and 14 points, respectively to give the Mad Ants a 77-59 advantage at the halfway mark. Ignite struggled to overcome its deficit as the Mad Ants extended its lead to a game-high 28 points in the fourth quarter to coast to the victory.
