Ignite Falls To Go-Go Despite Fourth Quarter Rally

HENDERSON, Nev., March 3, 2023 – NBA G League Ignite (9-14) lost to the Capital City Go-Go (13-11), 112-110, on Friday night at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev. 

Leonard Miller led the way for Ignite after posting a career-high 30 points with 12 rebounds on 9-of-12 shots from the field and 8-of-8 from the free-throw line. Miller tallied his eighth consecutive double-double, as he has 12 double-doubles this season. Sidy Cissoko continued his streak of at least 20 points to five games after finishing with 20 points, five rebounds and three steals. Eric Mika pitched in 17 points with eight rebounds and five assists.

Ignite alum Isaiah Todd led the Go-Go with a team-high 24 points after draining 8-of-13 attempts from the three-point line. Quenton Jackson and Trevion Williams combined for 39 points off the bench as Jackson recorded 21 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Williams tallied 18 points and six rebounds.

After a competitive opening frame, the Go-Go caught fire in the second quarter en route to taking a 20-point lead at the halfway mark. The Go-Go shot 65 percent from the field, including 57.1 percent from behind the arc in the frame. Ignite struggled mightily in the quarter after being held to 18 points on 26.3 percent shooting from the field and missing all nine attempts from the three-point line. Isaiah Todd and Jay Huff poured 12 and 10 points in the half, respectively.

The Go-Go held a strong lead until a fourth-quarter rally from Ignite. Down 18 with nine minutes remaining in regulation, Ignite used a 13-4 run to cut its deficit to nine points. The Go-Go kept Ignite at bay as they held on to the victory. Ignite made things interesting behind Mojave King, who scored 10 of his 14 points in the frame. The Go-Go held the advantage in bench points after totaling 56 points off the bench compared to Ignite’s 20 points.
