HENDERSON, Nev., Nov. 11, 2023 NBA G League Ignite (0-2) dropped the second of back-to-back games to the Ontario Clippers (2-0), 104-87, on Saturday night at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.

Tyler Smith continued his hot start to the season after posting a team-high 16 points with five rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting from the field, including 2-of-4 from the three-point line. Admon Gilder posted his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Ron Holland added 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal. Thierry Darlan and John Jenkins also pitched in 12 points each.

Joshua Primo erupted for a game-high 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field, including 5-of-8 from behind the arc. George King and Joey Hauser combined to go 7-of-10 from the three-point line to finish with 12 points each. Elijah Harkless tallied 11 points, while Bryson Williams added 10 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

The Clippers feed Joshua Primo early and often in the first half as he scored 16 of his 26 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field, including three made three-pointers in that span. Primo continued his stellar performance into the third quarter after scoring 10 of the Clippers’ 12 points in the opening minutes of the frame. Ignite struggled to find its rhythm as its deficit grew to 29 points toward the end of the quarter. Down 89-60 with less than two minutes remaining in the third quarter, Ignite began to find itself on the offensive end by using a 20-3 run to climb back into the game behind Thierry Darlan and Admon Gilder. Darlan recorded all of his 12 points in the second half, while Gilder scored 12 of his 14 points in that span. The deficit proved too much for Ignite to overcome as the Clippers hung on to the victory.
